Johnny DelosReyes founded High Tech Sintered Metals, Inc. in 1991. Mr. DelosReyes and the other owners had planned to concentrate on manufacturing powdered metal fingers for eyelet transfer use.
However, in 1993, the company's direction changed when it began manufacturing steel bearings, slugs, and various component designs. The company moved from its original location on South Leonard Street in Waterbury, CT to Sheridan Drive in Naugatuck, CT in 1995.
Over the years, the company has acquired and maintains over 20 powder metal presses (up to 110 tons), four furnaces, and a full job shop.
HTSM became a certified minority-owned enterprise in 2001. The company is certified through the National Minority Supplier Development Council and must recertify each fall.
HTSM continues to participate in Connecticut's BussinessLinc mentorship program as a mentee. HTSM originally joined the program in 2003 and had benefited greatly.

Manufacturing Information
High Tech Sintered Metals manufactures powder metal (aka. Powdered metal, sintered metal, and pressed metal) components for contract clients. Components manufactured include bearings, gears, bushings, pinions, pistons, caps, spacers, sleeves, and various designs.
HTSM serves a wide variety of industries including but not limited to Chemical Mixing, Cosmetic Packaging, Electronics, Hand Tools, Hydraulic Tools, Lock Hardware, Office Printers, Safety Equipment, Sports Equipment, and Transportation Industry.
